Today I took the train all the way from Nikko to Takayama. It's been fun making train reservations here. The ticket officers look at me like I'm completely crazy when I ask to book a train from one city to the next for fear that the journey is too far or too long for me. Little do they know that my most recent rail adventures have been in India where train travel isn't exactly the smoothest. With that said, I love India and miss it alot!
